Trichromatic governance: IR, visible, and UV as one structural signal
SCBE already maps six tongues across a visible color logic. The trichromatic layer extends that logic into infrared and ultraviolet bands, so the governance state includes slow-moving hidden structure and fast-moving emergent structure alongside the visible band the attacker is most likely to model.
This is not a broad detector yet. It is a structural lens.
The measured value right now is not high recall by itself. The measured value is that hidden-band structure stays different from the visible band in ways an attacker cannot directly see, and that difference can be used to escalate or veto later in the stack.
What is being modeled
| Band | Role | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Infrared | Slow state | Captures background structure that should not jump wildly from one visible prompt to the next |
| Visible | Active governance signal | The most obvious surface and the easiest one for an attacker to try to mimic |
| Ultraviolet | Fast or emergent state | Captures high-energy deviations and bridge breakage that the visible band alone can miss |
What the current test proves
The repo artifact for March 30 is small but useful. It proves the hidden-band state is not collapsing into one visible-only signature.
- Forging the visible band is not enough. The report marks forgery resistance as
all_detected. - Attack energy is consistently higher. The measured attack average energy is 1.611 versus 1.2476 for benign samples.
- The state space is larger than the visible band implies. The model records 504 combinatorial bits across tongues, bands, and bridge relationships.
Why this is in research, not on the storefront
Trichromatic governance is still weak as a primary detector in the hybrid harness. Its standalone recall is only 12 out of 200 attacks in the current overlap run. That is not storefront material. What is useful now is its role as a structural veto and anomaly signal layered underneath the gate.
How it connects to the rest of SCBE
| SCBE layer | Connection |
|---|---|
| Sacred tongues | Each tongue owns one visible coordinate and one hidden-band triplet view |
| Cross-stitch lattice | Bridge relationships give a place for KO-DR and other pair divergences to surface |
| RuntimeGate | Trichromatic can escalate severity and now cannot be silently downgraded later |
| Hybrid harness | Shows whether the hidden-band layer contributes unique catches or just noise |
